Kit de dormitorio zonas de emergencias naturales.

Temporary Dormitory Kit for Natural Disaster Zones in Mexico

This project proposes a modular, assembleable, and recyclable dormitory as a temporary solution for sheltering people affected by natural disasters. Its primary objective is to replace traditional provisional elements, such as blankets and cardboard, with an alternative that offers more dignified and functional living conditions.

This kit operates as a modular system and has been designed for distribution by the Mexican federal government, with the aim of providing an immediate and efficient response during the initial stages of an emergency. Each unit consists of four designated sleeping areas, partition panels, and small storage spaces, allowing for spatial organization that fosters a sense of privacy.

The dimensions and technical specifications of the kit have been established in accordance with the security standards set by the armed forces, ensuring that the partition panels serve a dual purpose: providing a perception of personal space and rest while allowing visibility and monitoring of the environment by the relevant authorities.

The kit is designed for mass production and distribution. Its configuration resembles a thin, portable, and stackable briefcase.

Each installed kit contains four dormitories per station. The kits are designed to optimize the available space through a grid layout based on the golden ratio, which generates an orderly and efficient environment in terms of transit and monitoring.

Each kit is manufactured using recyclable and low-cost materials, minimizing environmental impact once its use has concluded. The lightweight yet resilient structure adapts to various climatic conditions and environments, such as schools, community centers, and gyms, providing a safe and dignified refuge during the initial stages of an emergency.
